Our investment initiative
OCC Ventures backs ambitious founders and tech from across the University, to make positive impact at scale.
We follow a co-investment model to leverage support of high calibre lead investors. OCC Ventures is typically between 10–30% of the round, and is experienced at working collaboratively with a wide range of investors to accelerate success.
OCC Ventures is a supportive investor, in it for the long-term. We do not charge arrangement, research or ongoing monitoring fees on invested funds.
Eligibility criteria
OCC Ventures makes 5-10 new investments a year, with our first investment ranging from £150k to £350k
In order to be eligible for consideration, companies must:
- have an appropriate association to the University of Edinburgh;
- have an appropriate lead investment partner in place;
- funding round within OCC's typical range; and
- have provided a detailed business plan.
OCC considers investment into eligible companies following rigorous and transparent assessment criteria.
