Developing novel therapies targeting tumour specific macrophages

A University of Edinburgh spinout

Founded by the late Professor Jeffrey Pollard, former Professor of Resilience Biology at the University of Edinburgh, Macomics was spun-out to develop novel therapies to address areas of high unmet medical need in oncology.  Specifically, by targetting tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs), the most abundant type of immune cell in many tumour types.

Macomics’ research-led approach aims to modulate the biology of the TAMs directly , as well as the activity of the broader immune system, to re-invigorate  immune responses against cancer cells.

The team are currently working on their pre-clinical portfolio and  ENIGMAC™ discovery platform, the latter for gene-to-function studies.
