Revolutionising the measurement and analysis of microbial culturing

A University of Edinburgh startup

OGI Bio, a staff start-up from the University of Edinburgh, want to make microbial culturing easier for the user.

OGI Bio has developed a modular microbioreactor device to automate cell culturing. The device automatically reproduces the conditions seen in manual flask culturing, with a diverse variety of conditions and tests available as modular add-ons. This modular approach allows researchers to construct a tailored, automated cell culture solution that accelerates R&D with high cell throughput and accurate direct testing.

Looking ahead, OGI Bio are developing new analytical solutions which directly visualise cells to measure factors in situ and therefore bring about a step change in culture testing.
